Biography

Taking the name from David Mamet's "State and Main", goyouhuskies! are an unabashed pop quartet from Melbourne, Australia.

Initially conceived as a collaboration between CC Hua and Kenneth Ishak (Beezewax), goyouhuskies! first appeared on the global compilation, Planet of the Popboomerang Volume 1. Local exposure from this release took goyouhuskies! out of the bedroom and into Melbourne venues in an acoustic format with the substitution of Shayne Adam (Klinger) on guitar/vox for Norway-based Kenneth.

After a string of acoustic shows in Australia and Japan, and an appearance on Planet of the Popboomerang Volume 2, it was decided that the Huskies songs needed a full band line up. Following the inclusion of Ben Gook (Deloris) on bass and Phillip Grant (Porterhouse) on drums, goyouhuskies! have fast earned a reputation as an energetic live band with their brand of melodic guitar pop, layered with boy/girl harmonies.

After spending the first half of 2006 recording, goyouhuskies! are pleased to announce the release of their debut self titled EP through Popboomerang Records.
